You remember Jonah? Yes same Jonah swallowed by a big fish after running away from God’s instructions. Jonah 1:1-17. It is noteworthy to mention though that although Jonah was the culprit, the person whom God was unhappy with, nevertheless all the men in the ship were traumatised by the wind. “But the Lord sent out a great wind into the sea, and there was a mighty tempest in the sea, so that the ship was like to be broken” Jonah 1:4. So strong was the wind that it almost broke the ship. There was serious panic, all men started praying, pandemonium everywhere, while the culprit himself, Jonah was fast asleep. The men were simply in the right ship with the wrong passenger. This shows that we need to be conscious of the association we keep, even amongst fellow brethren so that we do not become victim of circumstances. Jonah, who brought the curse upon them was fast asleep while the others tried to figure out how they would stop the ship from capsizing. Anyone can bring a curse upon you, they could be closer to home than you think, watch and pray.
