How to stop dwelling on negative thoughts

Do you often worry about work, your relationships, paying bills, your children’s health, wellbeing  and circumstances, or are you constantly replaying old events or worries in your head, overthinking or obsessing about situations or life events, you don’t have to be afraid anymore because you can be confident that God loves you. 1 John 4:18 says “perfect love drives out fear…”

If you find yourself overthinking, here are some bible verses to help you back to a more peaceful and relaxing place;

Romans 8:38-39

”For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that that is in Christ Jesus our Lord”.

Exodus 14:14

”The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be calm”

Joshua 1:9

”Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid, do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go”.

Matthew 6:33-34

”Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own”

Philippians 4:6-7

”Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus”.
